1. The historical town

2. Settle to Carlisle Railway

3. Beautiful countryside

It is a perfect base for tackling the three peaks of Penyghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The Lion pub is housed within another historic building (dating from 1640) and features of the building embody an inglenook fireplace and historical footage of the town.
